The input section, which determines the sound quality, features a newly designed, original operational amplifier in addition to the discrete Class-A microphone preamp "D-PRE" also used in the higher-end "MGP Series." The X model features high-quality SPX effects, and the XU model features a 24-bit/192kHz USB audio interface, allowing connection to a computer or iPhone or iPad for two-channel recording and playback. Featuring an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, the newly added compact 6-channel to 20-channel models meet the needs of any PA or production environment. Mixing Console Features Yamaha's consistent commitment to sound is nothing less than "sound that is faithful to the original source." Yamaha's role is to provide engineers with the purest sound possible, without adding unnecessary coloration or processing, and we have worked hard to achieve this. The MG Series has been carefully crafted based on this philosophy. This new MG sound is the result of our experience in mixing console development, new technologies, meticulous attention to detail and carefully selected parts, and endless challenges in sound creation.
