Tackling the Ikoma Pass with a maximum gradient of 35.7‰! The long-awaited 4-car version of the early Kintetsu 8000 Series, characterized by its electric fans, is now available! The Kintetsu 8000 Series was introduced in 1964 for the Nara and Kyoto lines. The earliest manufactured cars were equipped with electric fans, and their distinctive exterior features included roof-mounted ventilators. There were two-car formations and later four-car formations with an additional intermediate car, which operated on the line until 2002. Currently, the 8000 series consists of vehicles that have been converted and incorporated into other models, as well as later models.
