Product introduction: A member of Canada's proud genius radical video group, Astron 6, and known for his work on films such as Pacific Rim and Resident Evil V. This latest work from director Steven Kostanski, who also worked on special effects for "Retribution" and has solo-directed "Manborg" and "The Void," is a sci-fi gore-splatter hero adventure packed with '80s nostalgia, evocative of films like "E.T." and "The Goonies" and with influences from "The Evil Dead" and "The Masters." A galactic destroyer, the "Murderous Alien," is accidentally unearthed and unsealed by a young girl named Mimi, who has been buried in a garden since ancient times. However, the evil Mimi steals a gem that allows him to control himself, and the young girl dugs him "Psycho Goreman," forcing him to play along with her mischief. Meanwhile, intergalactic monsters, sensing the Murderous Alien's awakening, head to Earth to eliminate him. The music for this B-movie-inspired story features Canadian composer trio Blitz//Berlin. The score is full of adventure, rock, horror, and sci-fi, reminiscent of the 80s, and is a delight to watch. Some of the most talked-about songs have caused a stir across the US, with people saying things like, "It's a masterpiece, but it's too short!" and "The greatest tragedy in the galaxy is that songs are too short."
