Product Introduction: Since its release in 1974, Shochiku's "The Sand Glass" has remained deeply etched in the memories of countless film and music fans. In recent years, it has been rediscovered through cinema concert performances. Known as one of the most iconic scores in Japanese cinema, its theme song, "Suite for Piano and Orchestra: Fate," was composed and performed on piano by Mitsuaki Kanno under the direction of music director Yasushi Akutagawa. It won the Music Award at the 29th Mainichi Film Awards and the Soviet Union Composers' Union Award at the Moscow Film Festival. This film music collection features a digital remaster of the classic album "Suite for Piano and Orchestra: Fate," by composer Mitsuaki Kanno, who is once again garnering attention, as well as additional carefully selected music from his films "Going Over Amagi" and "Invitation at Midnight."
