Product Introduction: This is the first in the "Anokodokoro Movie Soundtrack Series," which focuses on Shochiku's masterpieces. This work celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of "The Sand Glass," released in 1974. The symphony, composed and arranged by music director Yasushi Akutagawa and composer/arranger Mitsuaki Kanno, is recorded in the order of its use in the film, using the original master tapes for the film. This is the first CD to release the complete soundtrack used in the film, including the suite "Shukumei."
