Variable action means that the reaction varies depending on the target fish species, so the quality of the action changes depending on how you use it. Its function is a rolling action during slow retrieve, which changes from medium to wobbling action during high speed retrieve. Rockfish are basically slow, but plated and barracuda require medium to high speed retrieval and reaction. Another variable action is that after landing on the water, it starts with falling vibration in a horizontal position and sinks to about 70cm, then gradually shifts to a tail-down position to receive the load of the line, and then the effect of high specific gravity tungsten. begins to appear and changes as the sinking speed increases. By twitching the rod during the tail-down descent, the falling vibration in a horizontal position can be recreated, making it easy to control the descent speed and range. The flat side appeals to irregular darts and falls caused by twitch and induces bites.
