I built this great kit over 25 years ago. I used it. My kids used it and now my grandkids are using it. It never needed a single repair in all these years. The only thing I had to replace over the years was the battery pack. And when I first built it, I used the upgraded bearing package. This is my favorite RC car ever!

You cant beat a Tamiya kit! Always a joy to open the box and marvel at all the parts and how well layed out they are. This is a must have kit if you akways wanted one as a kid in the 80's but couldn't afford it. After getting the kit I realized there are two versions, one comes with a speed control and one doesn't. This kit doesn't come with a speed control. The ones that do have a speed control have a rectangular orange sticker on the box indicating a speed control is included.
