★★★★★  Amazing Lens in every aspect Panasonic G85
Date posted : Friday, Oct 11 2019

Get it. Perfection. There are many review out there and I agree. Amazing lens.I use the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 Manual focus. The Rokionon is equivalent to 170mm on the macro 4/3.I love the Rokinon for the image quality. The Rokinon 85mm is an amazing lens for Portraits. Can be a bit challenging to focus especially on moving subject like Kids and Dogs :)I needed an fast auto focus lens that I could use for moving object and a bit shorter focal like 90-120mm.The Sigma 56mm 1.4 just did it. Perfection for very close almost macro.Look at the pics. At 1.4 you can focus on the inner flower with a focus dept of about 3mm only.Absolutely amazing.Colors, focus and all else and of course sharpens is just amazing.Love it and you will too.Just remember 56mm on micro 4/3 is 112mm focal length.A must have.

★★★★★  All you need for a Portrait Lens
Date posted : Sunday, Sep 15 2019

This is an outstanding lens for portrait taking. Probably all you will ever need for this purpose. Very solid construction. Made in Japan. Comes with a hood. Metal mount. I use mine on Olympus EM-10 Mark III. Flawless performance. Very sharp. Instant focusing, always spot on. Pleasing 3-dimensional rendition of images. I also own Olympus 17 mm, 25 mm and 45 mm f1.8 primes. They are excellent lenses, but Sigma 56 f1.4 is a step up.I bought mine at B&H photo, which is why my review is not listed as a verified purchase.

★★★★★  A Solid Prime Lens Choice from Sigma

The great thing I like about this lens is the solid build quality and ability to take pictures in low light situations. Sigma makes great alternative lens options for original camera manufacturers at a reasonable cost and that works for my wallet.

★★★★★  Beautifully sharp and bright

This is a great, wide aperture prime lens for micro 4/3. I have the stunning Olympus 75mm f1.8, and I think this lens is just as sharp. The focal length is good for intimate portraits and pet photography. Build quality is good, though not as good as the Olympus Pro series; on the other hand, this lens is very inexpensive.

★★★★★  Incredibly sharp and fast

Sharpest lens I own. This gets incredibly narrow depth of focus, with very pleasing bokeh and subject separation. This is an excellent portrait lens, but can be a bit tricky to use in tight spaces.Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for something in the 45-85mm range for portraits.
