A plastic model that requires assembly and painting. Separate tools, paint, etc. are required.
Product introduction 1/48 scale plastic model. The P-51 Mustang is a fighter aircraft that was developed in an astonishing 117 days under a contract signed by the British Aircraft Purchase Board with North American in April 1940. It was initially exported to Britain, but when the United States entered the war, it was adopted by the U.S. Army Air Corps, which was uninterested in the P-51. The D type is a model with a lower rear fuselage top surface and a rear sliding valve canopy to improve the rear visibility of the previous B/C types. The early model did not have a dorsal fin at the front of the vertical tail, but it was added during production to improve directional stability.
