HASEGAWA 1/48 Aircraft Series Complete Fighter Hayabusa II Late Model. A Type 1 fighter that was the main fighter of the former Japanese Army during the first half of the Pacific War. His nickname is Hayabusa. The code name given by the US military was "Oscar". The manufacturer that developed it was Nakajima Aircraft, but it was also produced by Tachikawa Aircraft. The total number of aircraft produced is over 5,700, making it the second largest Japanese fighter after the Zero Fighter. Due to their similar appearance, it was often mistaken for a Zero fighter by American and British pilots.
