TAMIYA (1/48 F-16C/N "Aggressor/Adversary"). T148F16CN Aggre released in February 2009
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/48 F-16C/N "Aggressor/Adversary". This is a convertible kit that allows you to choose between the F-16C, which plays the core of the US Air Force's virtual enemy aircraft unit Aggressor, and the F-16N, which was used by the US Navy's virtual enemy aircraft unit Adversary.
[As the core of a hypothetical enemy aircraft unit]
The U.S. Air Force is conducting a large-scale exercise called Red Flag, which is close to actual combat, with the aim of improving pilots' air combat skills and survival rates. In order to make this training, in which friendly and enemy forces are divided and carry out missions, more realistic, a unit called the Aggressor has been formed to serve as the enemy force, and selected pilots from the Air Force have been assembled. At its core are the F-16C Blocks 30, 32, and 42, which wear blue and brown camouflage to resemble Russian Air Force MiG and Sukhoi fighters. On the other hand, the U.S. Navy's virtual enemy aircraft unit is called Adversary, and uses the Navy's exclusive F-16N as a virtual enemy aircraft at the Navy Fighter Weapons School, known as Top Gun. It also had a unique camouflage and contributed to the training of tactical officers in each unit. 1/48 scale, total length 316mm, total width 197mm. The fearless figure with its elegant form and unique camouflage is modeled with a high degree of realism. Two types each of the main landing gear, air intake, engine nozzle, and head-up display, and three types of main wheels are available, allowing you to select F-16C block 30, block 32, block 42, and F-16N. The AN/ALQ-188 jamming pod, ACMI pod, and air intake sensor equipped by the virtual enemy aircraft unit also have a sharp finish. The horizontal stabilizer is movable with a polycap, and the main wing flaperon can be set up or down. Includes 1 pilot doll. The markings include 3 types of aggressors and 1 type of adversary. A model with excellent aerodynamic performance called a blended wing body. Four types of camouflage paint patterns (A, B, C, D) are set depending on the aircraft being manufactured, and each aircraft color is different. Block 42 faithfully reproduces the wide-angle head-up display. Two types of air intake parts are available depending on the aircraft. The lower fuselage is equipped with an AN/ALQ-188 jamming pod that simulates electronic jamming of enemy aircraft. The right wing tip is equipped with an ACMI pod that transmits the aircraft's speed and attitude to the ground. In addition to the jamming pod, ACMI pod, and block 42 head-up display, the N-type main wheels are also set with special parts. In order to reproduce the difference in color between the front and rear of the canopy, we have prepared two types of parts: transparent and smoked. The slide mark reproduces four types of markings, numbers written on each part of the aircraft, and notes.
