The colorful fuselage painting of the 96 warships, which resembles the glittering attire of warlords in the Sengoku period, is a very attractive subject.
In addition, it is said that many Zero Fighter ace pilots who were active in the Pacific War improved their skills by gaining air combat experience by boarding the 96 warships on the Chinese front.
In the Decal series, SWEET will select and commercialize colorful and attractive aircraft and aircraft of the 96th warship piloted by pilots who later grew up to be ace.
Please look forward to future product development.
The first installment is a decal set of the aircraft (3-107), which was assigned to the 12th Air Corps on the Chinese front and made its debut as a shooting down king, Saburo Sakai, famous as "Samurai in the Sky". did
[Shooting King, Saburo Sakai, first shot down in 96 warships!] Since Saburo Sakai's favorite aircraft around May 1939 was operated at a land base, the landing hook was removed while it was a carrier-based fighter, and it was also equipped with a radio. I also removed the antenna pole because it was not there
At that time, heavy rains turned the airfield into mud, and the mud clogged the inside of the wheel covers.
From this time on, illustrations by Nobuo Shimoda, who is active in aviation magazines as an aircraft illustrator, will decorate the decal set.
Mr. Shimoda, who loves airplanes, has a warm and unique fuselage shape and soft color tone.
The set includes one ninety-six ship battle and decals made by Italian Cartograf.
On the back of the postcard-sized color illustration by Nobuo Shimoda, a color drawing of the Sakai machine is printed.
