TAMIYA 1/20 Grand Prix Collection Tyrell P34 1977 Monaco GP. TAMIYA Tyrell P34 Monaco
[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/20 Grand Prix Collection Tyrell P34 1977 Monaco GP.
[About the Tyrell P34]
The Tyrell P34 entered F1 in 1976 with the unique idea of a 6-wheeled car. The following year, with First National City Bank as the main sponsor, the coloring was changed and a full cowl with excellent aerodynamics was adopted. It was entered by P. Depailler and R. Peterson, but a tire war broke out between the two tire manufacturers that year. Tyrell, who used a dedicated front wheel, was in a difficult situation as its development was not progressing. Even though he was not able to perform as well as he had hoped, he continued to make efforts and fought hard, including returning to the previous year's cowl at events such as the Monaco GP. This is a 1/20 scale assembly kit that reproduces the Monaco GP specification of the Tyrell P34 that competed in the 1977 F1 Grand Prix with the half cowl back. Total length 201mm, total width 101mm. This model captures the characteristics of the car that competed in the Monaco GP, such as the rear seat cowl, front brake cooling duct, stabilizer, rear wing end plate, and tail light. The V8 Ford Cosworth DFV engine has a high-density finish with ignition cord wiring. The gearbox and suspension are also precisely reproduced. Comes with driver doll. Slide marks are set for No. 3 R. Peterson and No. 4 P. Depailler. The extremely thick rear tire and small diameter front tire are made of solid rubber with a rich texture. You can create an even more realistic look by brush-painting the logo on the sidewall. The front suspension area is also precisely reproduced. The cooling duct is a flexible type at the front and a snorkel type at the rear, just as it is on the actual vehicle. A driver figure in the cockpit is also included. P. Depailler and R. Peterson's slide marks for helmets, as well as Peterson's trademark helmet eaves, are also made into parts. (Photo by P. Depailler) The famous V8 Ford Cosworth DFV engine has been realistically modeled down to the air funnel, injector, and ignition cord. The underside of the chassis also has a realistic finish. The exposed bottom of the engine gives you a sense of the times.
