As part of the 400th Anniversary of Tokugawa Ieyasu Awards conducted by Okazaki City, Shizuoka City, and Hamamatsu City, Okazaki City planned and designed the four seasons of Okazaki for each of the four cars. Two trains, mainly the Nagoya Railroad and the Nagoya Main Line, are active while appealing to Okazaki City, the birthplace of Ieyasu. Platts pays homage to Ieyasu as a manufacturer in Shizuoka City and makes it N gauge. Based on the well-established Greenmax 3300 series, the wrapping is vividly reproduced with high-definition inkjet printing.
