I have a drop bar handle road bike and I cover it to a flat bar. The Shimano Sora works with both v-brake and the regular road bike brake. It has a adjusters that you can switch between a road bike brake or v-brake. High quality but expensive!!!

These look and function great. One thing that isn't noted in the description, for some reason, is that you can switch between long and short pull with changing the position of the cable head anchor. Sweet! Also adjustable reach. Great levers for the price.
