This special edition Nagato comes with etched parts!
It was built in 1916 based on the 84th Fleet Plan and completed in 1920 at the Kure Naval Arsenal.

This battleship was independently designed and built by the Japanese Navy based on the technology it had accumulated at the time.
It was the first in the world to be equipped with a 41cm main gun, and was the strongest combat ship with an emphasis on both horizontal and underwater defense.

In 1934, the ship underwent various modifications and was remodeled to become a battleship capable of competing with the great powers, with a standard displacement of 39,130 tons and a total length of 224.9 meters.
It also served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet and was loved by the people as a symbol of the Imperial Navy.

During the Pacific War, it participated in Operation MI (Battle of Midway),.
Operation A (Battle of the Philippine Sea),.
and Operation Sho-Ichi (Battle of Leyte Gulf),.
and survived, but was later moored in Yokosuka as a floating battery in preparation for the decisive battle on the mainland.

Although it survived the brutal war, it was used as a target for US atomic bomb tests and quietly sank in 1946.

The product is based on the appearance of the ship during Operation Sho-Ichi-Go in October 1944, after serving as the flagship of the Combined Fleet for a long time.
- Modifications based on lessons learned from warfare, such as the installation of radar, removal of secondary guns, and blocking of portholes.
- Main parts are reproduced with precision.
- The sides of the ship are recreated with the joints of the armor plates.
- Most of the portholes are blocked off, and the shapes created by the blocking plates are delicately expressed with convex carvings.
- Pre-painted plastic parts that mimic the Kure Naval Arsenal color from the docking records from May to June 1943.

- The water supply and drainage ports at the bottom are based on surviving ship drawings.

The bottom of the ship, screw brackets and rudder are molded in red, and the propeller is molded in gold, so no painting is required.

Bridge - The main observation post and backup command post have steel plates covering the front.
- The floor surfaces of each bridge floor are reproduced down to the finest details, including linoleum, gratings, and strips.

・ The walls at the base of the bridge are made using a slide mold to express the shape.

Main guns and secondary guns - The canopies of the 1st and 4th and 2nd and 3rd main guns, with or without ladders, are expressed as separate parts.
- The main gun muzzle is made using a slide mold to recreate the opening.
- Waterproof canvas of secondary guns is reproduced without omission.
〇 Chimney, aircraft operation deck, etc.
・ The chimney is easy to assemble by integrating ancillary equipment such as steam exhaust pipes.
- The aircraft work deck is a pre-painted linoleum-colored molded product, so no painting is required.
- Even the fasteners of the aircraft transport rails are depicted with delicate carvings.
- The catapult uses a slide mold to reproduce the shape of the side truss and top surface.

・ The two No. 13 radars on the rear mast are integrally molded with the radar support base, reducing assembly man-hours.

The aircraft lifting crane is in its stowed position, and the base cover has been recreated based on remaining photographs.

Other: Emergency lumber storage areas symbolizing wartime are recreated in various locations in the center of the ship.
- Two 9m cutters are deployed and suspended, two are stored on the deck, the starboard rear davit is stored, and one cutter is included as a bonus.
- Sandbags piled up for bulletproof purposes on the single machine gun are reproduced with special parts.
- Sandbag parts are beige colored burlap sack style.
