TAMIYA 1/700 Royal Navy Battlecruiser Repulse. WL Repulse Released October 2007
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/700 Royal Navy battle cruiser Repulse.
[The elegant silhouette that the Royal Navy boasted to the world]
The Royal Navy's battlecruiser Repulse has been considered one of the most beautiful warships in the world since its construction. During World War I, lightly armored battlecruisers, which had both the high speed of cruisers and the attack power of battleships, played a major role in naval battles. Among them, Repulse was completed in August 1916. Due to modernization between the wars, its side armor and anti-aircraft weapons were strengthened, and when World War II broke out, it participated in the pursuit of disguised cruisers and the battleship Bismarck, and later moved to the Far East where tensions with Japan were high. Deployed. On December 10, 1941, two days after the outbreak of the Pacific War, Repulse, along with the new battleship Prince of Wales, set out to attack the Japanese army's invasion force in Malaya, but it disappeared off the coast of Malaya due to intense torpedo bombing by Japanese naval aircraft. I deleted it. The sinking of two of the Royal Navy's proud capital ships is said to have given Prime Minister Churchill the greatest shock of the war. The neat style, such as the smart hull and well-balanced superstructure, is modeled with a high degree of realism. Realistic reproduction of the appearance during World War II, including enhanced anti-aircraft weapons. The hull is split into left and right parts. The precise representation of the bridge structure and masts is also a highlight. The main turret can be rotated even after completion using a polycap. Anti-aircraft weapon parts such as the 10.2cm triple gun, single gun, and 8-barreled pom-pom gun also have a sharp finish. Supermarine Wallas is set as a carrier-based aircraft. The bridge structure is packed with highlights, including the delicately finished bulwarks and anti-aircraft weapons. Airplane hangar and fixed catapult behind the second chimney. Wallas emphasizes the feather upholstery on the wings to give it a sense of presence. The model captures the light and graceful appearance of a British battlecruiser.
