At night, when the people are asleep, the evil spirit ``Miasma'' appears from somewhere in the deserted townscape and brings disaster to the people. The main character, Shinobu Kisaragi, is officially a staff member at a detective agency, but behind the scenes he is an agent belonging to an organization that exterminates miasma. She battles miasma every day, which appears out of nowhere in the middle of the night. What is waiting there?
