Description (1,676 characters)
The new 12-series passenger car of the Japanese National Railways, which is essential for recreating various railway scenes, has been fully renewed and commercialized. The differences in form seen in each series have been pursued, allowing you to enjoy a more realistic 12-series passenger car. In addition to forming a train consisting of only 12-series cars, you can also combine it with your own freight trains or 24-series passenger cars to recreate the express trains of the past.
The 12 series passenger cars were manufactured between 1969 and 1978 and were express-style seating passenger cars capable of a maximum speed of 110km/h. They were equipped with air conditioning powered by a diesel generator under the floor and were comparable to the electric trains and diesel railcars of the time, and became the basis for the new passenger cars that appeared later, starting with the 14 series.
Application for JR West productization permission pending Application for JR Kyushu approval pending Product introduction The prototype is a car belonging to the West Japan region around 1980. No JR markings, stripes on passenger doors and front through door, toilet is reproduced in the form of a sink pipe. The prototype is the later model. Reproduced with roof reinforcement, mesh-type cooler and front through door. H-rubbers are reproduced in grey. Side door handles are reproduced. Distinctive blue body paint and two white stripes are reproduced. Snap-on bogies are used. The intermediate coupling is equipped with a self-locking body-mounted coupler.
