The Ship NEXT series "Japanese Navy Battleship Musashi (before renovation)" is now available with etched parts! The battleship Yamato, a symbol of the Japanese Navy, was equipped with the world's largest 46 cm gun.
The second ship, Musashi, was completed in August 1942.
In October, the radar that was under development at the time was added, and the Musashi was deployed to Truk Island to deal with the rapid development of the Solomon Islands.
The first ship, Yamato, and the second ship, Musashi, stood side by side majestically at the anchorage, and in June 1943, they became flagships of the Combined Fleet, flying the general's flag.
Later, in order to respond to air attacks, the secondary guns on both sides were removed and the anti-aircraft armament was strengthened, and the ship was deployed to the Battle of the Mariana Islands and the Battle of Leyte Gulf...
The product is designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesives.
The main parts are made of color-coded plastic parts, and some colored parts are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformity.
All assembly is by snap-fit type, and by separating the parts at the waterline, both offshore and full hull types can be produced.
The product is designed to recreate two different periods.
The ship's appearance shortly after completion, before the No. 21 radar was installed (August to September 1942) / It can be recreated as it was equipped with a radar, lined up alongside Yamato at Truk Island, visited by Emperor Showa, and became flagship of the Combined Fleet (September 1942 to April 1944). The top of the bridge is painted white, indicating that it belongs to the Combined Fleet, and is recreated in its molded color.
The wooden deck parts are beige, unlike the black molding color used in Operation Sho-Ichigo.
The included stickers include the Emperor's flag and the Admiral's flag, allowing you to recreate the appearance of Emperor Showa's visit to the ship and Admiral Koga Mineichi's boarding of the ship.
Includes etching parts that can express fine details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Etching parts include handrails, 21 radar, ladders, etc.
