TAMIYA 1/72 WB.80 Mitsubishi Zero carrier fighter aircraft type 21. TWB80 Reisen 21 Gata Released September 2012
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/72 WB.80 Mitsubishi Zero carrier fighter aircraft type 21.
[An elegant figure that supported the Japanese Navy's successful advance]
From its first battle on the Chinese front until the end of the war, the Zero continued to fight as the main fighter of the Japanese Navy. Among them, Type 21 was the first full-scale mass-produced type and was deployed mainly by task forces. The main wing tips have been improved to be foldable for use on aircraft carriers. Piloted by experienced crews, the Type 21 overpowered Allied fighters in the early battles of the Pacific War, including the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Philippine Campaign, by utilizing its long cruising range, amazing melee fighting ability, and heavy armament of 20mm machine guns. That's what I did.
[About the kit]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Zero Fighter Type 21, which was active in the early battles of the Pacific War. 1/72 scale, total length 126mm, total width 167mm. The sleek main wing and uniquely shaped engine cowl are modeled with parts that are easy to assemble. Faithfully reproduces the characteristics of Type 21, such as the inside of the cockpit and the gear case in front of the engine. The canopy has two types of parts: open and closed. Comes with 3 types of markings. *The markings shown in the illustration on the top of the package are not included. Accurately models the characteristics of the Zero Fighter Type 21, such as the fuselage, main wings, engine cowl, and propeller. The elegant style created by the elongated main wings and uniquely shaped engine cowl has been condensed to a total length of 126mm. The deep main landing gear storage compartment is also a highlight. The delicate main wheel cover opening/closing arm is also a separate part for a sharp finish. The differences from the Type 52 are expressed in detail, such as the gear case at the front of the engine. Inside the cockpit, the instrument panel, the radio on the right side, and the left side panel with the generator for the radio are also reproduced.
