The world's first 1/35 plastic model! The unique French tank from World War II is making its first appearance in the military model market centered on German military items. TAMIYAMM France B1BIS released in June 2006
[Product introduction]
The B1 bis tank, said to be the most feared by the German army during the invasion of France in May 1940, flooded into France with unstoppable force. An unexpectedly strong enemy that the German army encountered was the B1 bis tank. It has a powerful mountain-like form, and is equipped with a short-barreled 75mm cannon on the entire right side of the vehicle, and a 47mm cannon in the small rotating turret. The maximum armor of 60mm was exceptionally heavy armor at the time, and it completely prevented attacks from the 37mm gun, Germany's main anti-tank gun, causing panic among the German army. In the Battle of Stonne, located in northeastern France, two companies of B1 bis tanks charge head-on into a German tank unit. Despite being hit by numerous bullets, it destroyed more than 10 German fighting vehicles, including the Panzer IV. The famous 88mm gun was the only one that could effectively hit this B1 bis tank. The B1 bis tank was the first German army to use an anti-tank gun instead of an 88mm anti-aircraft gun.
