TAMIYA 1/12 NISSAN Fairlady 240ZG Street Custom
[Scale special sale]
. The standard custom parts Watanabe 8-spoke wheels and rear spoiler were added to the 240ZG, which was released in 1973 as a 1/12 big scale series. Furthermore, we have reproduced the strut tower bar in the engine room, the 2-barrel triple carburetor, the metal air funnel, and the racing-type seat belt with photo-etched buckle inside.
[Custom version of the 240ZG, a typical model from the 1970s]
The first generation NISSAN Fairlady Z was announced in October 1969 as a high-performance sports car and became a worldwide hit. It had a sharp shape with a long nose and short deck, was equipped with a 2 liter inline 6-cylinder engine, and was equipped with strut-type 4-wheel independent suspension. The 240Z equipped with a 2.4-liter engine was prepared for export to the main market of North America and other markets, and achieved good results in races and rallies both domestically and internationally. Due to its success, there was a growing demand for the 240Z to be released in Japan, and the 240Z was released domestically in November 1971. Among them, the top grade 240ZG has a longer nose called G nose and is equipped with FRP over fenders on the front and rear. A wide variety of custom parts were also available to further refine the high-performance driving performance, and the 240ZG, which incorporated these parts to create a unique finish, was the envy of car fans. We have recreated the NISSAN Fairlady 240ZG, which was released in Japan in 1971, with a unique finish equipped with typical tuning parts at the time. 1/12 scale, total length 356mm, total width 151mm, total height 101mm. The wheels are set with 8 spokes made by RS Watanabe, which was a custom standard at the time. The inline 6-cylinder engine is equipped with a 2-barrel triple carburetor that squeezes out high power, a metal air funnel, and an etched heat shield for the carburetor. Furthermore, the strut tower bar is installed and it is quite impressive. A transparent bonnet is also available. The interior also has a three-dimensional finish. Equipped with a roll bar, there are two types of seats: standard type and bucket type. A lacy seatbelt with photo-etched buckles can be attached to the bucket seat. The hood, doors, and rear gate can be opened and closed. The suspension operates smoothly both front and rear. The steering wheel and front wheels are linked. Comes with a rear spoiler that tightens the form.
[Initial release month]
July 2014 The rear spoiler, which was an option on the actual vehicle, has also been made into a part. The engine room is a sight to behold, with its strut tower bar, 2-barrel triple carburetor, and metal air funnels. The wheels are modeled on RS Watanabe 8-spoke wheels, which were a custom standard at the time. Over fenders create even more power. A lacy seatbelt with photo-etched parts on the buckle is included. In addition to the white-colored bonnet, a transparent bonnet is also available. The suspension, exhaust pipe handling, and powertrain are also reproduced exactly as they are on the actual vehicle.
