Ship NEXT series light cruiser Kuma, released in 1942 with etching parts included! The first ship of the Kuma-class light cruisers, built following the Tenryu-class light cruisers.
It is the first of the so-called 5,500 ton light cruisers, the first type of "Kuma class", which later developed into the "Nagara class" and "Kawachi class".
Since its completion in 1920, it has undergone numerous improvements and participated in the Pacific War.
The ship's generous design allowed it to be retrofitted with floatplanes and other equipment, and after the start of the Pacific War, Kuma was involved in operations in the south, including supporting the invasion of the Philippines, and was sunk in January 1944 by a torpedo attack by a British submarine west of Penang Island.
The product is designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesives.
The main parts are made of color-coded plastic parts, and some colored parts are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformity.
All assembly is by snap-fit type, and by separating the parts at the waterline, both offshore and full hull types can be produced.
The product is based on the appearance before anti-aircraft armament was strengthened in the latter half of 1942.
The openings of the rear torpedo tubes are covered with canvas, allowing you to recreate the closed state with special parts included.
Unlike the horizontal linoleum decks of regular ships, Kuma's unique vertical linoleum is reproduced with special parts.
Includes etching parts that can express fine details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Etching parts include funnel caps (mesh), handrails, floatplane lifting derricks, side lights, and ladders.

*This product is a plastic model kit that requires assembly.
