finemolds 1/72 Air Self-Defense Force F-15J fighter “Hot Scramble 1984” (initial specification). FMFP50F15J Photo Scratch Released in September 2023
[Product Introduction]
finemolds 1/72 Air Self-Defense Force F-15J fighter jet “Hot Scramble 1984” (initial specification). Developed as a large air superiority fighter to succeed the F-4, the F-15, which first flew in the United States in 1972, became the representative fighter of the United States Air Force for half a century after the Cold War. The F-15J, which was knocked down/produced under license in Japan, will be deployed in December 1981 as the main fighter of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force. From July 1984, she was mainly assigned to standby (alert) missions against airspace intruders of unknown nationality, and engaged in highly urgent "hot scrambles" as tensions in the Cold War between East and West were rising. We have designed this as a new kit for the Air Self-Defense Force jet fighter following the F-4EJ and F-2A/B, pursuing even more fun in assembly, and also reproducing the shape and details based on thorough research of the actual aircraft. By getting your hands on the kit, you will surely discover something new about the form of this machine. This kit also reproduces the "iris cover" that was installed on the aircraft in the early days of deployment to protect the engine's variable nozzle and provide a rectifying effect. The markings of the 202nd Squadron (Miyazaki Prefecture, Nittahara Base) and 203rd Squadron (Hokkaido, Chitose Base) are reproduced with decals.
