finemolds 1/48 Imperial Army Type 95 Fighter Type 2 Kato Attack Combat Team. FMFB1495 Shiki Kato Released in January 2022
[Product Introduction]
finemolds 1/48 Imperial Army Type 95 Fighter Type 2 Kato Attack Combat Team. The prototype of the Type 95 fighter, the Imperial Army's last biplane fighter, was completed in March 1930, and mass production began at the end of the same year. At the same time, the design of an improved version with a longer wingspan and fuselage was begun to further improve air combat performance, and the military later adopted this as Type 2. Production of Type 2 began in June 2012, and it fought in the China Incident and Nomonhan Incident as the main force of the Army Fighter Corps. Although its active life was short, its performance was comparable to other foreign-made biplane fighters of the same period, making it one of the masterpieces in the history of Japanese aviation. The Imperial Army's last biplane fighter, the Type 95, was also flown by Captain Takeo Kato (at the time), who later gained fame as the commander of the Kato Hayabusa Combat Team. The 1st Company of the 2nd Flying Battalion, led by a captain, was formed shortly after the outbreak of the China Incident in July 1933, and immediately advanced via Mukden, China. He will be active in the direct attack on Luoyang and the air battle over Guitoku. The unit began deploying the new Type 97 fighter in April of the following year, but the Captain continued to use the Type 95 Type 2 as his favorite aircraft until he returned to Japan at the end of May. Although it is a biplane with a complex configuration, it has been designed with consideration to the assembly and painting process. A total of 3 figures are included: one seated and one standing figure of the pilot, and one maintenance worker. Includes aircraft machine gun removed from the aircraft, gun box, maintenance tool case, comfort bag, workbench, etc.
[Product specifications]
