The full-hull "Imperial Navy Light Cruiser Sakawa" comes with etched parts! The light cruiser "Sakawa" was the fourth Agano-class ship and was laid down at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal in November 1942 during the war, and was completed in November 1944 at the end of the war.
The Agano-class was planned as a torpedo squadron flagship, and was characterized by its modern appearance and armament, which distinguished it from the previous 5,500-ton types.
The main guns were three 15 cm twin guns and two newly developed long 8 cm twin anti-aircraft guns.
The Sakaiwa was completed the month after the Battle of Leyte Gulf, and the Combined Fleet was in a position where it was unable to carry out organized operations.
Moved from Sasebo to Kure, engaged in training in the western Inland Sea, but had no opportunity to serve, and was sent to Maizuru in the month before the end of the war.
That was the end of the war.
After the war, it was used as a repatriation transport ship to and from overseas, and in July 1946, it was used as a vessel for atomic bomb testing at Bikini Atoll and sank.
The product is a full hull model that can reproduce the bottom of the ship, and comes with a stand that can be displayed after completion.
The product reproduces the appearance of the ship equipped with No. 21, 22, and 13 radars at the time of completion.
The 25mm twin machine gun is made up of both a traditional one-piece structure part and a more precise two-piece part.
The 25mm machine gun is a two-piece structure, with the gunmetal barrel and the base painted the same color as the ship's hull, making it easy to recreate the gun.
Includes etching parts that can express fine details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Etching parts are included, one of each type.
The 96mm x 187mm size includes over 150 types of ladders, floatplane hoisting cranes, No. 13 and No. 21 radars, catapults, and more.
