"Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni" was held over two days on May 4th and 5th, 2024.
I went to the concert "Authentic Chinese Cafe Pegasus of Love ~Lomu's Xiang Xin Long~" at K Arena Yokohama and two things became clear to me.
One is that Zutomayo is, first and foremost, a live band.
This is one of the best bands in Japan right now, and the only band that can attract audiences of tens of thousands at a venue of this size.
Another thing is that up until now, the band's avant-garde style has functioned as a musical spice through its structure and unique instruments, but in this live performance, it has come to the foreground rather than the background, and they have become a truly avant-garde musical group.
And the important thing is that it still doesn't lose any of its traditional pop appeal.
In other words, being avant-garde is not the goal, but rather the avant-garde is inevitably achieved by pursuing pop.
